Abstract

In August 2024 there will be year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Gorontalo Regency of 3.37 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.54.
Y-on-y inflation occurs due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in several expenditure group index, namely: food, beverage and tobacco group at 7.07 percent; clothing and footwear group at 4.95 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 1.30 percent; transportation group by 0.03 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 1.19 percent; education group at 0.29 percent; and food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.76 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.31 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: supplies, equipment and routine household maintenance by 1.55 percent; health group by 0.22 percent; and the recreation, sports and culture group at 0.94 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for Gorontalo Regency in August 2024 is 0.22 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate is 1.79 percent.
