The meeting was held on September 19, 2024 in the Madani Room, Gorontalo Regent's Office.
The meeting began with remarks by the Acting Regional Secretary of Gorontalo Regency, Haris Suparto Tome, who emphasized that the interest in controlling inflation is a shared responsibility, not just one party. After that, the event continued with the delivery of material by Prasaja Arifiyanto who discussed the inflation rate in Gorontalo Regency, the implementation of a survey that takes into account the characteristics of commodities in Gorontalo Regency, and the influence of quality weights on changes in inflation rates. The amount of quality weight is influenced by the consumption patterns of the community recorded by BPS during the Cost of Living Survey conducted in 2022. At the end of the meeting, the Assistant for Economy and Development of the Regional Secretary of Gorontalo Regency, Darwin Romy Sjahrain conveyed the message that apart from the shared interest in controlling inflation, we also need to pay attention to the welfare of farmers who could be harmed by the many price decreases that are currently occurring. Hopefully, we can work together to oversee optimal inflation rates and not harm other parties.
